In-School Programs

Usually in November and April
The Evanston In-school Music Association (EISMA) offers Concerts for Kids to District 65 schools and works with music educators, parents, and community members to inspire students with an appreciation for the diversity and influence of the world’s music. For more information, see the EISMA website.

Holiday Fair
In December
The Holiday Fair is an opportunity for students to shop for inexpensive (25 cents to $1 dollar) gifts for their friends and families. It operates on the same schedule as Bookery, wherein each class has a 15-minute time slot to shop for gifts. Many, many volunteers are needed to help students shop and keep the tables stocked. Students are allowed to bring up to $5 to spend. The PTA provides an allowance for students who are unable to bring money from home.

Griffin’s Tale
 and Mudpie
Usually in May; Story Forms by Students due in December
Northwestern University’s children’s repertory theatre company adapts stories written by Chicagoland elementary school children into songs, sketches, and dances. All Lincoln students will be invited to submit an original piece of writing. Griffin’s Tale chooses 8 to 10 stories to turn them into skits that they perform for the entire school. The Mudpie Show, presented by Mudlark Theater, also performs selected works by Lincoln students. Students submit the same Story Form for both Griffin’s Tale and Mudpie.

The above programs are subject to change and more events may be added, including a school-wide service project, artists-in-residence, science programs, and guest reader programs. The PTA is in need of additional parents to help organize these programs. Please contact if you would like to volunteer.
